Celeste Allyn McVeigh, LCSW

Celeste Allyn McVeigh, an esteemed member of the Aram Wellness Center team, is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW), Licensed Clinical Addictions Specialist (LCAS), and Certified Clinical Trauma Professional (CCTP). With over 7 years of professional experience, Celeste brings a depth of expertise and a compassionate approach to her practice.

Celeste completed her undergraduate studies at Hollins University in 1995, graduating with a Bachelor's degree. She then earned her Master of Theological Studies from Duke Divinity School in 1999. Later, she pivoted her focus towards mental health, completing her Master of Social Work at the University of Southern California Suzanne Dworak-Peck School of Social Work in 2016. Celeste holds a LCSW licensure in Virginia as well as a North Carolina LCSW and LCAS license.

Celeste is proficient in several therapeutic approaches, including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Psychodynamic Therapy, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), the Allostatic Model, the Learning Model, Motivational Interviewing (MI), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), and somatic interventions for trauma processing. Her areas of expertise include post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD), trauma, and addiction.

Celeste's passion for mental health counseling is deeply rooted in her belief in human connection. She says, "We are all connected. We are connected by time, experiences, beliefs, challenges, relationships, events, and traumas. How we navigate through our lives and the knowledge we acquire is the work of our personal journey." She strives to walk alongside her clients on their unique paths, helping them untangle the influences that shape their worldviews, create safety, endorse strengths, heal trauma, and foster abundance and peace in the present moment.

Apart from her clinical work, Celeste has acquired a minor in Military Family Systems and Military Family Life as part of her MSW degree. She has also worked with the Special Operations Forces (SOF) community as an embedded mental health clinician and holds a Top Secret/Sensitive Compartmented Information (TS/SCI) clearance.

Celeste is a certified Clinical Trauma Professional and Licensed Clinical Addictions Specialist, underlining her commitment to providing specialized care for her clients. She communicates exclusively in English and is ready to assist clients on their mental health journey at Aram Wellness Center. She looks forward to the continued opportunity to support individuals in their pursuit of mental health and wellbeing.
