Jan Nieves, PMHNP-BC, is a distinguished board-certified Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner with a dedicated focus on addressing both addiction-related and non-addiction mental health disorders throughout her post-graduate journey. Rooted in the belief that each patient deserves tailored care aligned with their specific needs and objectives, Jan emphasizes looking beyond the mental health challenges. She is committed to creating care plans that holistically enhance each patient's quality of life. During consultations, she ensures patients are well-informed and comfortable with their care approach, while also educating them about any prescribed medications.

Tracing back her journey, Jan's dedication to healthcare began in an Intensive Care Unit, providing critical bedside care. Her passion later led her to co-establish a non-profit centered on addiction education for health professionals. Adding another feather to her cap, she earned her Master's Degree in Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner from Walden University. In recognition of her exceptional contributions, Jan received the esteemed national "40 Under 40" nurse leader award in 2019. This accolade celebrated her instrumental role in pioneering a transformative program that connects patients to mental health services within a prominent medical system in West Virginia. Beyond her professional duties, Jan has generously volunteered, participating in panels and forums to champion mental health awareness and interventions.

With expertise spanning from pediatric to geriatric care, Jan is equipped to address a comprehensive range of mental health disorders. Away from her professional duties, she cherishes moments with her family and is an avid enthusiast of hiking and camping.”
